Prescriptions FAQs
Can your physicians prescribe medications for me?
We have invested in the most advanced technology that lets us e-prescribe all of your medications. That means, your prescriptions should be ready when you arrive at your pharmacy.
Do all pharmacies accept e-prescriptions?
About 95% of them do. If your pharmacy is in the 5% that does not, we can find a pharmacy in your area that does. Your pharmacist plays an important role on the care team, so we encourage all of our patients to use one pharmacy for all of their prescriptions.
Can the doctor order medical cannabis for me if s/he thinks it would help in my case?
No, this is not something that our doctors can help you with.
My medication was lost, stolen or misplaced. Can you replace it?
If the medication is not a controlled substance, our doctors can likely replace it. However, we cannot replace controlled substances. For that reason, it is important that you safeguard your medications to prevent loss or theft.
My insurance company wants a prior authorization completed. Can you assist?
We can usually help get your medication covered. Just ask your pharmacy to fax the rejection along with your insurance information to (844) 578-4839. We will promptly submit a prior authorization request to your insurance company.
Can you mail me a paper prescription?
We do not use paper; we use only electronic prescriptions to give our patients the highest levels of service and security.
How do I transfer my prescription to a different pharmacy?
In most cases your pharmacist can coordinate the transfer. If they cannot assist, please call our medical assistant line at 855-263-7669 ext. 4 and we can help you.
